The Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridges are used to replace the ink in the Cannon BJC8200 and S800 series printing systems. The Canon BCI-6Y is a yellow cartridge. The ink in these printing systems is divided into 4 parts. There is a black cartridge, then 3 separate color cartridges. You do not have to worry about buying all color ink, when you are only out of yellow. You can simply replace the Canon BCI-6Y cartridge to replace the yellow color only. These cartridges are available to be bought separately, as well as in bundles. So, if you only need yellow ink, you can simply purchase the Canon BCI-6Y cartridge, by itself to save on expense, at the time. However, if you do need all three colors, you can purchase the Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridge in a bundle with the other colors, as well. This will required more expense at once, but is generally less expensive than buying all of the cartridges, separately.
The Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridge also comes in a version of edible ink, designed for printing onto specially formatted anycake icing sheets. Using this edible version of the Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridge, you can print virtually anything onto a cake, delighting anyone, no matter what the occasion for the party.
The ink found in the Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridge is smudge proof. This means that even when handled directly out of the printer, there is low danger of damaging the print, from smudges. The ink will hold its place, instantly, as it exits the printer. The Canon BCI-6Y ink is fast drying, as compared to other brands. Many other store brands are available, but they have not been found to dry as quickly as the official Canon BCI-6Y ink, leaving more opportunity for smudging, which threatens to ruin the document. The Canon BCI-6Y ink is specially designed for photo prints. It prints in bright vivid color to make documents appear more alive.
The Canon BCI-6Y ink cartridge is easily replaced and installed. When the old cartridge is empty, simply consult the printer manual to discover how to access the old cartridge. The old cartridge should simply pop out of place, allowing the new cartridge to be popped into the vacancy left by the old cartridge. It is a good idea to send the old cartridge for recycling, as ink cartridges are consumed quickly and contribute to bulk in landfills.
